Why this replaced the previous text

The policy published for this application until now was United States boilerplate. It cited the California Online Privacy Protection Act, referred to a blog and a shopping cart that do not exist, and described a website rather than the application. None of it applied to a Belgian company, and it is withdrawn rather than reproduced.

Status of the application

Maison Smeets is no longer distributed and is not under active development. It was built for one organisation and was never a public consumer product.

What this policy can and cannot state

Appro-app SRL cannot describe this application's data processing in detail without re-examining a codebase that is out of service, and a policy that guesses is worse than one that says what it knows. What is certain is stated here; what is not is named as unknown rather than filled in.

If you used this application and want to know what it held about you, or want it deleted, write to hello@appro-app.com. The request will be answered on the facts, and the answer will say plainly if a record no longer exists.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you may ask for access to your personal data, its correction or deletion, a restriction of or objection to its processing, and its portability, and you may complain to a supervisory authority. In Belgium that is the Autorité de protection des données / Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit.

If the application returns to service, a full policy describing its actual processing replaces this one before it is distributed again.
