TilesDeck Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 5, 2026

TilesDeck is a macOS application developed by Appro-app SRL.

Data collection

TilesDeck works locally on your Mac and does not require an account. Version 1.0 does not collect or upload personal data, use product analytics, serve advertising, track users, report crashes, or send data to an AI service.

Files, folders, and applications

TilesDeck accesses only the apps, files, and folders that you explicitly choose or drop into a deck. It stores their visible names, types, and macOS security-scoped bookmarks locally so it can reopen those shortcuts. Appro-app cannot see or access their names, paths, contents, or bookmarks. TilesDeck does not read file contents or enumerate folder contents.

Deck settings and exports

Deck names, content, colors, layout, spacing, size, position, display, desktop, visibility, floating level, and other presentation preferences are stored locally on your Mac.

If you explicitly export a deck, TilesDeck creates a .tiledeck file at the location you choose. That file may contain private deck and shortcut names, local access bookmarks, appearance preferences, size, position, display and desktop assignments, visibility, and floating level. TilesDeck does not upload or automatically share it. You control its storage, sharing, and deletion. Import creates a new local copy, and shortcut access may need to be selected again on another Mac.

In-App Purchases

The Mac App Store version lets you create four decks for free. A one-time EUR 0.99 purchase unlocks more decks, up to the 32-deck technical safety cap. Apple processes the purchase through StoreKit and the App Store. TilesDeck checks Apple's verified entitlement state. Appro-app does not receive or retain receipts, transaction identifiers, Apple Account data, card details, or billing addresses.

Launch at Login

If you enable Launch at Login, macOS manages this preference locally.

Website

If you open the Appro website from TilesDeck Settings, your default browser visits the website. TilesDeck does not add an identifier or shortcut data to that request. The website's own privacy information applies there.

Data sharing

TilesDeck does not sell personal data and does not send TilesDeck content to a backend, analytics provider, or other vendor. The Store version communicates with Apple's App Store service only for product, purchase, entitlement, and explicit restore operations.

Storage and deletion

Active deck information remains on your Mac while the corresponding item or deck exists. Removing a deck moves its data to a recoverable local archive until you delete it manually. Exported .tiledeck files remain where you saved them until you delete them. Removing the app may not automatically erase Application Support data or system backup copies.
